Packing
Posted in Uncategorized on 07/05/2009 06:55 am by adminTypically I have no problem packing for a trip - be it short & close to home, or even overseas. This is different. I feel like I have nearly everything I need, yet my suitcase seems woefully empty.
Sure, I have plenty of anti-bacterial items, and I had no problem with electronics - two cameras, battery packs, lenses, computer, external hard drive, and so on….but skirts, respectful clothing that I hopefully won’t sweat right through, and wanting to pack clothing I can wear multiple times. It just looks so empty. However, I’m sure compared to the people I’ll be visiting, it looks like I have a million dollars.
I wish I did.
To give to them.
My heart is trying to prepare for what I’ll see and experience. I know there’s no amount of preparing that will get me completely ready.
I have many prayer requests for the trip, for safety, success in achieving our goals, safety (yes, that one again), and personally for me, prayers for a healed heart. Those of you who know me well, know why….
Ok, back to packing & off to take my first round of anti-malarials!
